Hard Working Maggie

Well, I was hard at work today finishing this piece, and then I had an appointment out of town, and by the time I got back in after uploading files for the slides for the AAEA thing, I was bushed. (I love that phrase). So unfortunately I'm putting off my blog-tag until tomorrow, but I promise I will do it then. Really. And it will be funny. You'll laugh. I hope.

So to keep y'all from rioting, I thought I'd at least share the link to where I've been talking about my process behind this piece, on my favorite artists' forum, WetCanvas.

And here it is.

Hi,
This is just a beautiful painting, and your blog still gave me a smile since you didn't say anything. Ha.

I'm off to read about it on WC, thanks.

Bad luck with your finger Maggie. Not what you need at this busy time, I hope it's not an extreme act of procrastination!
This latest painting is fabulous. I thought at first it was acrylic or oil.

Isgard is just beautiful. I can really see your style in this one, and the colors are sooo good and different.
Thumbs up definitely!

Wow! Awesomely gorgeous painting! I love the subject placement, and the way the colors in the clouds echo the colors of the horse.

Really strong sense of motion in the mane and the clouds, too - thinking back on it after viewing it is almost like remembering a video; in my mind's eye I see the mane actually dancing around in the wind!

Brava!

ps: hope your finger's better!

This gets better and better every time I look at it.
