Because I got back so late from the Joshua Radin concert last night (Joshua, please, please, please, lose the hat), I didn't get a chance to upload my twisted teaser image for Lament to my blogs until today. Hence the whoops Wednesday. Anyway, so there are ten more Tuesdays until
Lament's release date, and each Tuesday I'm posting an illustrated scene from the novel to build up audience anticipation to a friggin' fever pitch (:D) But since I don't want to be spoilery, of course, I have helpfully changed the scenes in some way from the original.
For this week's installment, the first action scene from the novel I have illustrated, I have drawn the first real faerie-human violent scene in the novel. But to protect the innocent and guilty, I have changed it to a little dog-on-cat violence instead. The best part about this one was that I sketched it while I was sitting at the concert and my sister was looking over my shoulder, snickering as she recognized the scene it was from.
