Twisted Teaser Tuesday: Lament

Okay, once again it is that time of week. As the weeks countdown to LAMENT's release date (only nine more Tuesdays to go), I'm posting a teaser scene from the novel every Tuesday. But I wouldn't want to be spoilery, so every week, I have cunningly disguised the characters in each scene. This week, I decided to go with lizards. Well, an alligator, a lizard, and a green anole. Sounds a bit like the beginning of a joke, doesn' t it? An alligator, a lizard, and a green anole walk into a bar. The barkeeper says, "Why the long face?" And the alligator eats him.

Okay, so I'm no good at jokes. But here's the teaser. I guess one of the characters isn't disguised very well, but we'll survive.
