Happy New Year & Good-bye for Now (At Least on Blogger)

I'm sure regular readers (or, lately, non-readers) of this blog will not be surprised when I say that I've decided that 2009 is the year that I'm saying farewell to Greywaren Art. I've not been good at updating, and I'd be lying if I didn't say that 98% of my time is dedicated to writing right now. I don't think it'll be that way in the future, but right now, that's where we're at.

So thank you all for being a wonderful, supportive bunch of readers and artists, and remember that I am still regularly blogging over at http://m-stiefvater.livejournal.com.

Happy New Year!

(and one last butt-kicking: if you haven't made your 2009 goals yet, get out that Sharpie and make the list! NOW!)

It was a great blog - and it'll be sad to see it finish.

However, don't you dare get rid of it - I've go any number of information sites linking to really great bits of advice you gave in posts on this blog! Those need to go stick around!

I've so enjoyed your art and your posts and marvelled at your capacity to excel in both areas of your work (art and writing).

Best wishes for the New Year and continued success in all your ventures.

Oh, Maggie... it's sad to not see Greywaren Art come up in my mailbox anymore! But I do understand and I wish the very best for you in your art and your writing this year. I know you will update us all eventually on any new book deals. :) You're terrific. Happy New Year, and what a great resolution you have. Stick with it, your name will be famous and hopefully you'll remember your fanclub! ;) xoxo Rose

I'm so sorry to see this blog end ... but I totally understand, writing is where your heart is (for now, anyway!) I want you to know Greywaren Art was my main inspiration for starting my own art blog.
Thanks for all the great inspiration and advice, and sharing your humor and boundless energy!

Happy New Year, and best wishes for continued success in all your creative adventures -- I'll be checking in with you over at livejournal from time to time to see what's up!

I will miss you here and plan on marking the writing blog. Nothing kicks me in gear like a posting by Maggie kicking me in the ass!

I ordered four copies of Lament from Amazon before Christmas and distributed them to my daughters and their friends. I have been hearing rave reviews from them and when I can sneak a copy back from one of the girls will sit down and read it myself.

Hi Maggie, Yes, on to bigger and better things for the new year. I hope the blog stays here to refer to. I need those old butt kickings, you know. "Lament" was in my stocking, how much fun is that? I will check in on your other blog once in a while for kicks! You are a big inspiration to us. Best of luck and many hugs....

I'd leave more of a comment, but I've got to go and write down my 2009 goals (which also means I have to look at my 2008 goals!)
All the best to you in the New Year Maggic! Thanks for all your help!

I always knew that one day I'd be responsible for kicking my own butt... *sigh*

I'll come peek in on you sometimes over at "Words".

Hi Maggie, I do have to admit I wasn't coming by as often because you are a busy successful author and you don't much time to post art anymore. I wish you all the best and if you can find a bit of time here and there please don't give up the art. You done good kid. You should be sooooo proud of yourself. Take care
